MATT LANGLEY
HOMETOWN RECORDS N.Z. is proud to announce the release of Matt Langley’s full-length debut album ‘Featherbones’ featuring the APRA award winning Country Song of the Year ‘7:13’. Matt has been gracing stages throughout Aotearoa for over a decade. His musical journey has taken him from blues and rock roots to folk, country and pop all the while creating and defining a voice that has made him an award winning song writer and sought after performer both locally and abroad.
With ‘Featherbones’ Matt has created an album that reflects his diversity as a writer and performer and collection of songs that invites the listener to reflect on love, life, loss and hope rendered with the sparing beauty of a true song-smith.
“This is no off the cuff throw away collection. Langley reveals plenty of craft in his song writing, both in his vocal phrasing and melodic imagination… which hint at the likes of Grant Lee Buffalo…” - Shane Gilchrist, Otago Daily Times review, 2007.
